Penny has been singing on stage since the age of 13.
At age 18 she moved from Illinois to Texas to be trained by her then manager Happy Shahan.
Happy owned a movie set and managed several successful country singers such as Johnny Rodriguez, Dottsy, and Linda Davis.
A year after Happy took Penny under his wing he brought her to Nashville to record some demos and during this time she was signed as a staff writer to a Nashville publishing company.
Penny continued to write and perform country music for a few years, then she decided to put her music on hold to marry and raise a family.
During this time she worked at the AV movie set as a production coordinator.
Penny now lives outside of Nashville TN. with her husband Rodney.
